Gas Sensing Detector Using Arduino
A sensor(Gas Sensor) is used to detect the gas leakage and there is alarm sound if there is leakage of gas.
A sensor is a device that detects and responds to some type of input from the physical environment. The specific input could be light, heat, motion, moisture, pressure, or any one of a great number of other environmental phenomena. The output is generally a signal that is converted to human-readable display at the sensor location or transmitted electronically over a network for reading or further processing.
Different Types of Sensors
The following is a list of different types of sensors that are commonly used in various applications. All these sensors are used for measuring one of the physical properties like Temperature, Resistance, Capacitance, Conduction, Heat Transfer etc.

A gas detector is a device that detects the presence of gases in an area, often as part of a safety system. This type of equipment is used to detect a gas leak or other emissions and can interface with a control sysrem so a process can be automatically shut down. A gas detector can sound an alarm to operators in the area where the leak is occurring, giving them the opportunity to leave. This type of device is important because there are many gases that can be harmful to organic life, such as humans or animals.
Gas detectors can be used to detect combustible, flammable and toxic gases, and oxygen depletion. This type of device is used widely in industry and can be found in locations, such as on oil rigs.
Gas sensor is connected to Arduino, for the alarm, a buzzer and LED is connected.
As shown above, when the gas is at normal level there is no alarm.
There is an alarm if the gas level is above 300, a buzzer and LED is used to indicate it and a message which says reads “Leakage of gas”.
